Short, simple poems for our time
Let it be
I'm a man of no opinion
Lacking any point of view
Apathetic and indifferent all the time
My disposition's not to care, if a thing is foul or fair
But to view what e'er transpires as quite sublime
Please don't ask me to select
From a list of different things
I'll just take the first that comes along you see
For I cannot contemplate
That I should differentiate
Between things that seem equivalent to me
It's of little consequence
And it matters not a lot
What specific course of action I should choose
'cause for to me it's all the same
Only different in name
So it's just another issue to confuse
So I'll carry on regardless
Soaking up whatever happens
Take my chances, roll with punches, suck and see
And I think that you'll consent
That my apathetic bent
Makes decision making easier for me
So I highly recommend
That you try it for yourself
When you're next confronted with a set of options
Just say “What will be will be”
Serendipity's for me
Don't confuse me with such myriad concoctions
